Khalid to challenge LHC decision before Supreme Court

Craleter Khalid Latif's attorney announced that the Supreme Court will challenge the Lahore High Court (LHC) decision in favor of the Patrick Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption court.

He appeared at the Tribunal on the orders of the LHC and talked to reporters.

The court is listening to a case study of four cricket players, including Khalid, in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai.

The lawyer added that the PCB encouraged the conspiracy of the players and that he hoped to be tried by the Supreme Court.

He did not disclose any statement by Khalid against Sharjeel Khan, and the person who hired Khalid met the bookie.

He asked why the PCB did not stop the players from meeting the bookmaker on July 6 when there was prior information about the meeting.

The lawyer argued that the PCB facilitated the meeting with the bookmaker instead of stopping the player without taking action.

He said the court handed him a copy of all the statements of the witnesses.

The court requested that you submit an answer to this statement within the next 15 days.

The court will notify the next hearing on July 26th.

Meanwhile, PCB lawyers added that Khalid has the right to move the Supreme Court, and PCBs are much more powerful.

He said his opponent had made contradictory statements to the court and the media.

A lawyer told the media that Colonel Azam, who retired from PCB anti-corruption, was admitted to the hospital with heart disease.

He argued that since the athletes met twice with the bookmaker, they did not weigh in on an accidental meeting with the bookie.

He also agreed that the tribunal would decide how the next hearing would proceed, after both sides agreed to submit an answer by the court on July 26.
